TALLADEGA CO. (AL) - When Jim Cavale and his team at Eporro.com envisioned their first National Signing Day, they couldn’t have painted a better picture. With the stands packed with students, parents, and press at Lincoln High School (Eporro.com’s first school code client), Jonathan George headlined a quintuplet of Lincoln student-athletes going on to play college football at several different levels.

While George chose to sign at the University of Kentucky, other Lincoln football players with profiles on Eporro.com chose local Alabama schools like NCAA FCS Power Jacksonville State University and NCAA Division III schools like Birmingham Southern College and Huntingdon College.

"This is exactly why we originally chose to work with Eporro.com back in August [2008]," exclaimed Lincoln Principal Terry Roller. "I look forward to the years to come with Eporro but, more importantly, I hope our seniors realize that this is just the first day of collegiate athletics commitments that can take place throughout the months to come."

Eporro.com Customer Support Manager Joseph Maggio echoed Roller’s comment by urging all of Eporro’s school code clients to educate their student-athletes on the facts about signing day and the overall signing period.

"Today is simply the beginning of a wonderful time for seniors around the nation," stated Maggio. "We hope that the unsigned seniors who have profiles on Eporro.com continue to use our service to help them reach that objective throughout the next few months. Signing day isn’t the end of the signing period, it’s the beginning."

Lincoln wasn’t the only school to have players sign on National Signing Day and football wasn’t the only Eporro.com sport that was showcased, other Alabama high schools like Hoover, Spain Park, the Birmingham City Schools, and several other Alabama high school clients have Eporro.com recruits moving on.

"Today is the first step in our grand movement here at Eporro," proudly stated President Jim Cavale. "We are doing everything we can to become the site that every student-athlete in any sport at every high school in Alabama will use to assist themselves in the recruiting process. I believe we are getting closer and closer to that goal everyday and today was proof to that assumption."
