EPORRO.COM PRESIDENT JIM CAVALE A GUEST ON WJOX'S "THE OPENING DRIVE"

Birmingham, Ala. - Eporro.com President Jim Cavale got a chance to spend a half an hour with the company’s biggest target audience on Tuesday, as he was a guest on the WJOX "Opening Drive" this morning with Jay Barker, Al Del Greco and Tony Kurre.

The "Opening Drive" is one of the top sports morning broadcasts in the entire state, and Cavale was featured on two segments of the program to explain the vision and mission statement of the website. Hosts include former Alabama quarterback Barker and NFL kicker Del Greco, who are stalwarts of the local sports community.

Cavale expressed his personal story and how he arrived in Birmingham, Ala., after growing up in Syracuse, New York. "No one ever looked at me in the South when I was playing, and I came down here because of a friend and ended up having a wonderful three years at Montevallo," said Cavale. "When I started working with CSS and dealing with small universities, I saw their dilemmas and knew my dilemmas as an athlete, so I always wanted to something like this to help kids."

All athletes in the state of Alabama can join Eporro.com, including those who compete in scholastic and extracurricular activities. For schools that haven’t been signed under the Eporro.com umbrella, there is a one-time fee to purchase the new technology. There is a coaches’ database available which allows Eporro.com athletes to directly send their information (including video and transcripts) to a coach’s inbox.
